Our school-wide expectation is ‘RESPECT’.

Behaviour issues are dealt with immediately by Duty/Classroom teachers.

Teachers aim for positive outcomes in helping children to develop strategies for resolving conflict.

Extreme behaviour and consequences are dealt with immediately and recorded by staff.

Suggested steps for disrespectful behaviour:

Junior Syndicate:

Time Out:

  • Sit in the place where the incident occurred (weather dependent)
  • Sit in a hoop

Middle & Senior Syndicate:

  • Benched (bench in quad visible to duty teacher)
  • Sit in the place where the incident occurred (weather dependent)

Letter home for severe behaviour / multiple offenders.

Teachers and Syndicate Leaders responsible for monitoring this.

If there is no improvement in behaviour the Deputy Principal or the Principal with the parents concerned put strategies in place to resolve the problem.
